Security andData Protection.
Horizon is designed to help organisations assess governance without losing sight of the importance of protecting the information and evidence used to produce that assessment.
Assessment Data
Organisational assessment responses, governance information, findings and Horizon Intelligence are held within the Horizon platform and subject to organisation-level access controls.
Supporting Evidence
Documents provided as assessment evidence are stored using secure Azure Blob Storage infrastructure. Evidence is not intended to be publicly accessible.
Access & Isolation
Horizon applies authenticated access and organisation-level controls to help ensure users can access only information belonging to organisations they are authorised to access.
Security by Design
Protection of client governance information is treated as a core design consideration across the Horizon platform.
AI-Assisted Interpretation
Where AI functionality is used, it operates as an interpretation layer over Horizon's deterministic intelligence. It does not determine governance scores or independently create unsupported findings or compliance conclusions.
A clear separation
The assessment remains the source of truth.
Horizon's underlying governance position is generated from the completed assessment and its supporting evidence. Technology and AI can help interpret and communicate that intelligence, but they do not replace the deterministic assessment engine or independently establish compliance, certification or regulatory conformity.
Data governance
Horizon is formalising its detailed data governance framework as the platform progresses through beta toward general availability. This includes detailed retention, deletion and AI-processing terms.
We will publish those specific commitments once they have been formally established, rather than making promises that the current beta service cannot yet substantiate.
